The origin of our bottles and a classic of the laboratory - the DURAN® REAGENT BOTTLE. Made of borosilicate glass 3.3, a special glass invented by Otto Schott in 1887 and registered under the brand name DURAN® in 1938.

Description. 5000 mL Low Actinic Media Bottle with GL-45 Screw Cap. ideal for media, buffers, aqueous, and nonaqueous solutions, this Heavy Duty bottle of low actinic glass for use when storing/transporting light sensitive materials. Includes a one-piece liner-less autoclavable (140°C max.) polypropylene orange cap with drip free pouring ring.
FOUR USEFUL SIZES. Sequentially sized bottles 125, 250, 500 and 1000 ml. The glass bottles are moulded from the tried and tested DURAN® borosilicate 3.3, a pharmacopoeial Type 1 neutral glass. DURAN® glass offers a very good chemical resistance and high temperature resistance.
