Low Evaporation Cap Filter Vials are suitable for GC/GCMS Applications, Solubility Testing, Food Testing, Volatiles or any other application where minimizing the evaporation of samples is critical. The Low Evaporation Cap eliminates the pre-slit in the cap membrane allowing the vial to hold sample evaporation to a rate of <.4% over a 24 hour
Filter Vials 0.2um Nylon w/ low evaporation cap 100-pk. Thomson SINGLE StEP Black Cap Manufacturer: Restek item no.: RE25870
Thomson Filter Vials are simple replacements for HPLC Vials, HPLC Caps, Syringes, Needles, and Syringe Filters. Filter Vials are simple protection for HPLC, GC, GC/MS and LC/MS systems. They minimize steps and loss of product. They are universal for all different types of autosamplers including UHPLC.
• Color-coded caps allow easy identification of 0.2 μm or 0.45 μm membranes in PVDF, PTFE, PES, or nylon. • Low dead volume units feature rugged polypropylene vial
2.0 mL, 9 mm Solid-Top Polyethylene Caps. Compatible with all 9 mm screw-thread vials. Molded, 10 mil, solid, pierceable cap. PTFE-free—ideal for PFAS analysis (e.g., EPA 537) and other PFAS-sensitive methods. Note: Polypropylene vials and caps prevent sample contamination from PTFE-coated septa.

As with other parts of the LC system, mobile phases with high concentrations of buffer salts can accelerate wear and their use may need to be offset by more frequent LC maintenance. One of the best ways to prevent autosampler problems is to filter or centrifuge samples prior to injection to remove particulates.
The filter size depends highly on the filtration volume. For small volumes (< 1 ml), syringe filters with a diameter of 3 mm are used for medium volumes (1-10 ml), 15 mm and for large volumes (> 10 ml) 25 mm. Common pore sizes for UHPLC and HPLC columns with small particle sizes (< 3 µm) are 0.2 and for columns with larger particle sizes (> 3
